What kind of pain can Advil effectively relieve?

Headache
- is the most common reason people take over the counter analgesics. It’s estimated that 1 in 10 of us report experiencing a headache at least once a week. The most common types of headaches are tension headaches, migraine headaches and sinus headaches. Clinical studies have proven that Advil Liquid Capsules relieve headache up to 14 minutes faster than paracetamol tablets.2

Tension headache - is a common form of headache that is often attributed to stress or physical irritants such as persistent noise, eyestrain, poor posture, too much caffeine or the grinding of teeth. A tension headache feels like a band lightening around the back of the head or neck.

Migraine headache – people are often confused between a bad headache and a migraine. Migraines, however, tend to be more painful, and sufferers may experience distinct symptoms including nausea, vomiting, sensitivity to light, tingling and numbness of the limbs.

Sinus headaches - typically result from hayfever and other seasonal allergies, or from a cold or the flu, and are caused by pressure and inflammation in the sinus cavity.

Back and Muscular Ache
- like other soft tissue injuries, can be a result of an injury to muscles, tendons, ligaments and cartilage. This kind of pain is commonly caused by lifting, over stretching, incorrect posture, prolonged standing and sporting injuries.

Period Pain
- occurs from stronger & more uncomfortable uterus contractions and can result in pain in the lower abdomen, back and legs.

Period pain is something that women frequently treat for themselves. Advil works at the site of the pain and is very effective in treating period pain.

Dental Pain
- can be a result of tooth decay and gum disease. While a visit to the dentist is recommended to find the cause of an ache, temporary relief can often come from non prescription medications. In fact, Advil Liquid Capsules are proven to be more effective than paracetamol tablets in relieving moderate to severe dental pain.4

Arthritis Pain
- refers to the pain caused by the inflammation of the joints. Arthritis can occur in people of all ages. Symptoms include an inability to move a joint normally, recurring pain or tenderness in any joint, swelling in one or more joints, redness or warmth in a joint.

What can I do about Arthritis pain?
There is no cure, but a combination of exercise, minor lifestyle changes, proper diet and medication goes far to manage the pain and symptoms of arthritis. Exercise will help strengthen the muscles surrounding the effected joint, and thus help to support and stabilise the area. Exercise will also promote flexibility and prevent stiffness. Both physical therapy and recreational exercise can help but, as with any physical program, they should be discussed with your doctor first. Lifestyle changes, such as staying off your feet periodically during the day or picking up objects with both hands instead of one, can be easy to adapt to and provide much relief to arthritic joints. A proper diet can mean taking some unnecessary weight off your joints. It will also contribute to your overall health and state of mind. Medications, such as Advil, can serve to temporarily relieve minor pains associated with arthritis.
